How we will support you
We will develop a Quality Management System (QMS) that is compliant with the requirements of the Construction Product Regulation (2020). We will deliver a turnkey project or alternatively we can work together to produce the documents and procedures you require.
Steps (example)
The likely steps for delivering a QMS are set out below.
- We will visit your workplace to carry out a review of your manufacturing facilities. A key requirement is to have a robust Factory Production Control (FPC) system that maintains consistency and quality of product manufacturing
- At this stage we will advice if your product falls within the scope of BS 1090-1
- We will agree a plan setting out mile stones and closeout dates. This can be detailed and robust or take a more simple approach
- If your company already have ISO 9001 we will carry out a gap analysis to determine what additional documents are required
- A process flow diagram will be created setting out your company's manufacturing process
- The documents you need to develop your QMS will be created
- We will carry out training so your staff have a clear understanding of their role and how to carry out their tasks
- New rules for placing construction products on the GB market, England, Wales and Scotland will be considered (Bexit rules)
- When your Quality Management System and Manufacturing Controls are in place and suitable, we will arrange for an audit to be carried out by an approved third-party Notifying Body. We will support you through this process
- After your company have successfully achieve BS 1090 accreditation we will support you during the 1st year to ensure you remain compliant with the Construction Product Regulation and continue to adhere to your Quality Management System arrangements
